A chilled saturday evening in Delhi. Month of January. First impression ? - Dinner in CP? Barbeque night with some peppy numbers? A high class club night? Or a lazy person in razaai? Hah..i belong to the last category :) Dinner in CP is difficult when you have a lazy dad ;) # Luv you Paa # Barbeque night, thats planned for lohri(touchwood) and what did I say next? A saturday disco/club night? Hahaha...with a family person like me, thats something totally out of scope :P I hate booze and buzz ! Do you seriously need to go to a smokey crowded zone, dance in front of strangers, drink some most pathetic stuff and then get a high? Well, a happy person like me doesn't. Anyways, the last and the most comfortable one - razai, me, bed, good food, family talks and chatter boxes all around, that makes for a perfect weekend and an imperfect me :P
Moving next, the year has changed to 2014. Exited? I am sure most of us have some of 'those' resolutions in our mind. Some of us dont beleive in resolutions. Those who do, rarely follow them :) Nevermind, we should strive hard n hope for the best. My new year resultion is to follow all my previous resolutions this time ;) :P That sounds honest, yet smart :) But on a serious note, I want to be more strong headed, more committed and more dedicated to things I strive for, keeping all those negative energies aside.
Hmmm, so talking about the year, the start has been a historical one. IIT Kharagpur alumini and ex IRS, has been appointed 'for the people, by the people' as Delhi's CM on public demand. Delhi ki Aam Junta couldn't be more happy. Kejriwal sir, kudos to you. Not because you have come with half electricity rates and free water. Not because you have been traveling in metros and autos. And not because people compare you with Anil Kapoor's role in Nayak. I am sure, any newbie will try his level best to leave those footprints. Everybody knows that first impression lasts long. And being an IITn and ex IRS that you are, I expect that you know things a lot more as you have seen life from intelligent and privledged perspective. My point here is that I see a revolution, even if its on the name of 'Aam Aadmi'. It feels totally incredible to see kids, house wives, workers and even the uneducated class, discussing politics. Be it metros, offices, airports or autos, everybody is glued to politics. Kejriwal has replaced Sachin Tendulkar somewhere ;) Isn't it great? If I talk about myself, I see a difference in me. Not that I was never interested in stuff like this before, infact, I have always tried to be on the updated side of the crowd. But, I still feel, this is different version altogether. In these few days, I have googled most about constitution of india, janlokpal, INA and what not? Thanks to my dad and google, I know a lot more about politics now than I ever knew before. I surely feel great about this whole episode. I feel happy about the changed me, the overall changed perspective, curiosity and maturity among people - CITIZENS to be precise. Just hope that this really continues and doesn't become yet another periodic fashion trend. Fingers crossed :)
Well, this was about Delhi. How about India? After all, we all are Indians first. Will NaMo's dream finally come true? Will we finally see a dumdaar, jaandaar and shaandaar PM? One who can take decisions on his own and depends less on 'Lady Luck'? God only knows. He is the big boss for all of us. Wait and watch is the key.
Enough of politics. Coming to sports, ICICI World Cup T20 is on cards. AND...There is a lot more in kitty :) 2014 comes with FIFA worldcup. So, all you football fans out there, you guys have a lot in store this year. Get ready for that Shakira dance number..once again :) # In love with Waka Waka #
What else ? Science? movies? books? art? Well, I am not working here as a freelancer reporter guys :) Keep on reading newspaper for more updates ;) Let them do rest of the work :P haha. To be honest, this is what I remember for now :P Its midnight and I really am feeling sleepy. I guess time for me to doze off ! zzzzz :P
Hey wait wait wait...last and the most important one, I hope from all my heart and soul, that this year comes with a lot more of happiness, exitement, luck and opportunities for all of us. Our families live 1000 more years and we do our level best to see that special smile on their face. We stay connected to our family, extended families and friends and get settled in life ;) Do good, be good, feel good should be the agenda :) So, Have fun, Stay blessed, Stay loved. And btw, love yourself. Thats really really important - even if it makes you a little self absorbed :) You need to love yourself to spread those smiles around. Its all about vibes after all.
